Newcastle University Foundation Scholarship for International Students, UK: Business and Management, Humanities and Social Sciences, Physical Sciences and Engineering, Biological and Biomedical Sciences

The Newcastle University announced ten scholarships for a variety of International Foundation Programmes created to assist international fee-paying students who need to complete a Foundation programme before enrolling on a Newcastle University undergraduate degree.
There are ten scholarships available for the following International Foundation Programmes:
-Foundation pathway in Business and Management
-Foundation pathway in Humanities and Social Sciences
-Foundation pathway in Physical Sciences and Engineering
-Foundation pathway in Biological and Biomedical Sciences
Scholarships cover a total of one year’s tuition. You will receive the first half of the scholarship while on your pathway programme, and the second half when you begin your degree at Newcastle University. The Value of award will be from £11,490 -£12,990, depending on chosen Foundation pathway.
All international fee-paying students can apply for this scholarship. The candidate who have completed 12 years of schooling (or the local equivalent to meet the same standard) with good grades is eligible to apply. Applicant must have a minimum English language proficiency equivalent to IELTS 5.5 for specified degree programmes and must be a minimum of 17 years old.

The Muljibhai Madhvani Foundation Scholarship Programme 2011–2012, Uganda: Agriculture, Biology, Business Administration, Chemistry, Commerce, Engineering, Food Science & Technology, Information Technology, Law, Hotel Management, Pharmacy, Nursing, Architecture, Veterinary Medicine, Actuarial Science, Environmental Studies and Human Medicine.

The Muljibhai Madhvani Foundation is a Charitable Trust which was set up with the primary objective of promoting scientific
and technical education for the betterment of the people of Uganda.
It is in pursuit of this objective that the Board of Trustees of the Foundation set up a Scholarship Committee and instituted a University scholarship programme starting in the 2003/4 academic year. The scholarship programme is aimed at benefiting Ugandans pursuing either undergraduate or post-graduate education at University level in Uganda.

2011-12 Undergraduate Scholarship for Siblings, West Liberty University, USA

Undergraduate Scholarships in the amount of $1500 per year are available for entering first-
time freshmen for the fall 2011 semester. The waivers will be awarded to first-time freshmen who will also have a sibling returning for enrollment at West Liberty during the fall 2011 semester.Entering freshman who are awarded an undergraduate waiver will be eligible to receive it for up toeight semesters.
students receiving a tuition & fee specific scholarship or grant, i.e. PROMISE Scholarship, will not negligible for an undergraduate scholarship.
Students will be ranked for these scholarships according to financial need. Other minimum requirements are listed below.. Must be a legal resident of West Virginia
. Must have financial need, as determined by the 2011-12 Free Application for Federal Student
Aid (FAFSA)
. Must have a minimum high school grade point average of 2.50
. Must be enrolled as a full-time student
. Sibling attending West Liberty University for the fall 2011 semester must be pre-registered by
the June 1 application deadline
. Parents’ 1040 Tax Return may need to be submitted for documentation
