International Masters Scholarship in Tourism and Leisure, Italy

MIB School of Management of Trieste, Italy is pleased to announce a scholarship competition for applicants to the XI edition of the International Master in Tourism & Leisure. The Scholarship will go toward tuition fees to attend the XI edition of the International Master in Tourism & Leisure (October 2011 – October 2012).

The Scholarships will cover up to 70% of the tuition fees (equivalent to 12.600,00 EUR – twelve thousand six hundred EUR). The amount of the scholarships will be discounted from the overall tuition fees. In case of course abandonment or exclusion for any reason, no amount of the scholarship will be paid or reimbursed.

The candidates need to meet the following requirements:
– academic degree (or equivalent qualification) in any discipline;
– fluent working knowledge of English (a TOEFL, IELTS or PTE certificate is an asset);
– significant work and life experience is an asset;
– aged less than 30 as of October 2011.

In order to finalize the application, the following documents must be received:
– degree certificate;
– two letters of recommendation;
– if available a certificate which demonstrates an adequate knowledge of English such as TOEFL, IELTS or PTE (alternatively, verification will be made directly by the School);
– if available a deductive reasoning test score such as GMAT (alternatively, verification will be made directly by the School).

“MIT-Zaragoza Western and Northern European Logistics Scholarship”, Spain

The Zaragoza Logistics Center Scholarship currently provides a number of scholarships each year for students of the MIT-Zaragoza Master of Engineering in Logistics & Supply Chain Management (ZLOG) program.
Through this scholarship, the Foundation hopes to attract outstanding future leaders from Western & Northern European countries. Candidates will be expected to show extraordinary potential for leadership and professional success, bringing new vision and commitment to the area of Logistics and Supply Chain Management.

Eligibility
Scholarships are awarded only to students who have been admitted to the MIT-Zaragoza Master of Engineering in Logistics & Supply Chain Management (ZLOG) program through the Foundation’s regular admissions procedure.
Furthermore, the applicants should display exceptional academic achievement and distinctive personal accomplishment in addition to an interest in pursing a career in Logistics/Supply Chain Management.
To be eligible you must comply with the following criteria:
• Granted admission to the MIT-Zaragoza Master of Engineering in Logistics & Supply Chain Management (ZLOG) program.
• Completion of a four year undergraduate program equivalent to a Bachelor’s Degree.
• Fluency in English, competitive TOEFL score. Exceptions may be granted to individuals who have demonstrated evidence of advanced verbal and written proficiency in the English language.
• Competitive GMAT score. Exceptions may be granted to individuals who have demonstrated strong professional and/or academic achievement in completing a college degree – including some quantitative training – and evidence of advanced verbal and written proficiency in the English language.

Erasmus Mundus Scholarships for Masters Program in Forensic Science 2011, UK

There is an increased worldwide tendency to committing different and more sophisticated kind of crimes that emphasizes the need for a higher number of trained professionals at a high level. This professional focus does not exclude research activities, which are very necessary owing to the dynamic nature of this science.

The globalisation propitiates people migrations and money and goods circulation around the world, which also extend criminal reach, so that the collaboration among Countries is essential, as well as the adoption of international working standards. The situation around crime and the high impact that terrorism and terrorist activities are having in modern societies has pushed the International Community to dedicate resources and develop initiatives to prevent criminal acts.

The different countries in the world are developing their own or joint strategies to make this fight against crime more efficient. An International Forensic Science Specialist Master developed to train and educate cohorts of future forensic scientists can serve this aim and provide with trained professionals to help protect people.

Eligibility:
Applicants must possess a Bachelor degree in Science (or equivalent) from a recognised official Higher Education Institution in order to apply. The candidates need to accredit a minimum grade to access the course, being this 60% (upper second class). In case a percentage is not stated on the official transcript, the candidate will have to supply a certificate from their academic institutions in which percent marks are linked to the different grades awarded by the institution.

-Applicants also need to accredit a sufficient level of English to follow the course (IELTS 6.0, TOEFL 550 paper based, TOEFL 79 internet, or equivalent).
