Master’s Degree Scholarship at AUC

The African Graduate Fellowship is a competitive fellowship program for bright, highly motivated African students interested in pursuing a master’s degree at AUC.  Each year, fellowships are offered to nationals of African countries (not including Egyptians) for full-time study (9 credits or more) in any of the graduate programs offered at AUC.

Eligibility

  • African nationals
  • B.A. or B.Sc. degree with grade not less than “Very Good”, an overall GPA of 3.2 on a 4.0 scale, or the equivalent.
  • TOEFL with TWE score of at least 550 and 4.5, (580 and 5.0 for ECLT & TEFL) or equivalent.
  • Applicants for the MBA have to submit a recent score on the GMAT and have at least two years of relevant work experience.
  • Applicants for the Economics program, the Economics in International Development program and the Journalism and Mass Communication program are required to obtain an acceptable score on the GRE.
  • Applicants for the MA in Arabic Studies must submit evidence of proficiency in literary Arabic.

Duration:
Fellowships are awarded for two academic years and the intervening summer session.

Award
The fellowship covers:

  • A waiver of tuition fees.
  • A monthly stipend of LE 850.
  • Student services and activities fee.
  • Graduation fees.
  • Medical service and health insurance fees.
  • A monthly housing allowance of LE 1250.
  • In support of their professional training fellows are assigned 18 hours per week of related academic or administrative work.

Applications should be submitted together with all supporting documents by December 15 for fellowships beginning the following September.

Bachelor’s degree Scholarship at University Tenaga Nasional

Tertiary education has an important role to play in broadening horizons and encouraging competitive thinking. We believe that a lack of resources should not preclude promising students from accessing all opportunities and developing their full potential

The YTL Power Scholarship Fund was established to complement the YTL Foundation with the objective of promoting higher education by offering scholarships to qualified and deserving students currently pursuing full-time foundation and degree courses at University Tenaga Nasional (UNITEN), a local university in Malaysia offering courses in Engineering, IT and Accounting.

Minimum Requirements

  • Malaysian citizen
  • Good SPM & STPM (or equivalent) grades
  • A record of active participation in extra curricular activities is added advantage
  • Have obtained admission into University Tenaga Nasional for full-time foundation and degree courses.

Courses

  • Foundation course leading to Bachelor Degree
  • Bachelor of Engineering (Hons.) Mechanical
  • Bachelor of Engineering (Hons.) Electrical Power
  • Bachelor of Engineering (Hons.) Electrical & Electronics

Condition of Award

Successful candidates will have to enter into an Agreement to serve the Company for a stipulated period immediately upon completion of their studies.

PhD at The Resthaven Research

The Resthaven Research Scholarship has been established to support a suitably qualified graduate to carry out a program of study in disaster management in residential aged care facilities and older people in the community leading to the award of Doctor of Philosophy  One scholarship is available with a value of $30,000 per annum.

The successful applicant will undertake a PhD under the supervision of Dr Paul Arbon at Flinders University in the School of Nursing and Midwifery.
