2011 International Postgraduate Scholarship at University of Strathclyde, UK

The International Postgraduate Scholarships are open to all non UK/EU MSc applicants.  The value of the awards is £3000 each and a large number of awards are available. The University of Strathclyde welcomes over 15,000 students from more than 100 countries who are attracted by our excellent academic reputation and stimulating study environment. This site provides up-to-date information about scholarships for full-time postgraduate study at Strathclyde, including details on eligibility and the application process. Since all of the scholarships are for postgraduate study or research, candidates must hold a university degree or equivalent qualification. Most scholarship schemes are very competitive and it is important to make enquiries and apply to all possible sources of funding at an early stage. Some scholarship schemes will only consider applicants with a First Class honours degree or equivalent. Candidates must apply (or have already applied) for postgraduate study or research here in order to be eligible for any of these awards.

2011 International Entrance Scholarship at Bangor University, UK

Bangor University is offering an entrance scholarship of 10% off the first year’s tuition fees. Successful candidates who apply to study at Bangor University before the 30th of June, 2011 will be awarded the scholarship. The International Entrance Scholarship will replace the International Scholarship that was previously available.

Regulations:•The International Entrance Scholarship will apply to students beginning their courses (Undergraduate, Postgraduate Taught and Postgraduate Research) in September 2011.
•The International Entrance Scholarship does not apply to students who will be studying Business School Programmes (please see the table below for other schoalrships available)
•Students who receive other types of scholarships from Bangor University or other sources will not be entitled to the International Entrance Scholarship.
•The International Entrance Scholarship is offered in the form of a deduction in tuitions fees which are payable at registration.

Kent Law School Taught Masters Overseas Scholarships 2011 in UK

Kent Law School offers a limited number of scholarships to students who are liable to pay overseas students’ fees. The scholarships are open to all overseas applicants on the LLM programmes offered at the Canterbury campus. The scholarships will provide tuition fees at the full overseas rate. For the academic year 2010/11, the overseas rate was £10,850.The scholarships are awarded on the basis of academic excellence.

Applicants for study on an LLM programme at the Kent Law School in Canterbury may apply to be considered for an Overseas Scholarships.The scholarships are awarded on the basis of academic excellence.
Where candidates are rated equivalent in terms of academic excellence, their financial circumstances will (if possible) be taken into account in deciding on an award. The number of scholarships to be awarded will be at the discretion of the Law School.An applicant should make a case for the award of the scholarship to them, as outlined below. Applications should be submitted to the KLS Postgraduate Officer, by post, to the addresses given for correspondence below.

In order to be eligible for consideration for a scholarship, a candidate must have received an offer of a place on an LLM degree programme. The scholarships will take the form of a full reduction in tuition fees for that programme.
In order to take up a scholarship, it will be necessary for an applicant to meet all of the conditions specified in their offer of a place on the programme of study.Scholarships may not be deferred.Applicants who are unsuccessful, or who are unable to take up the offer of a scholarship, may apply for funding in subsequent years.Any scholarship offered should be accepted within one month of date of offer.
