2011-2012 Michael Vergauwen Fund Scholarship, USA: audiovisual

The International Communications Industries Foundation (ICIF) is a non-profit charitable and educational
organization chartered to support the audiovisual communications industry, bringing manufacturers and dealers together to improve the industry through education and research.
Criteria
The scholarships are awarded on a competitive basis to dependents of employees or employees of InfoComm member organizations. To be considered for this scholarship, applicants must:
• Be a spouse, child, stepchild or grandchild of an employee of an InfoComm member organization or an employee of an InfoComm member organization in good standing at the time of application.
• Awarded one-time only to 3rd or 4th year students of 4-year degree, 2nd year students of 2-year degree programs or graduate school candidates.
• Have a minimum grade point average of 2.75 on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent) verified by a transcript from college attended.
o The application requires the most current and available college transcripts.
o Transcripts must be official transcripts and should be sent directly from each school attended to ICIF.
o Where GPA is not based on a four point scale please provide an explanation or equivalent

2011-2012 Nigeria Scholarships at Newcastle University, UK: Humanities Arts and Social Sciences (HASS), Science, Agriculture and Engineering (SAgE), and Medical Sciences

The International Office is delighted to announce 2 Newcastle University Nigeria Scholarship (NU Nigeria Scholarship) awards. These are available for high achieving Nigerian students applying for entry onto postgraduate taught degree or research programmes within the Faculties of Humanities Arts and Social Sciences (HASS), Science, Agriculture and Engineering (SAgE), and Medical Sciences (FMS) commencing their studies in September 2011.  Each scholarship will have a value of £3,000, payable towards the first year of tuition fees.
Eligibility: You could be eligible to apply for a NU Nigeria Scholarship if: You have been offered a place on any postgraduate degree programme in the faculties of HASS,  SAgE or FMS.You are a Nigerian national and have been assessed as international/overseas for fees purposes. You have an First Class Bachelors degree from a recognised Nigerian University and satisfy all other requirements.You intend to register to start your studies during the 2011-12 academic yearYou are a self-funded student and not in receipt of other University or external awards

Scholarships for International LLB Students at Cardiff University, UK

There are currently around 400 international students enrolled on undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, including the Bar Vocational Course and Legal Practice Course, within the School. Cardiff Law School offers two types of scholarship to international students (excluding students from the European Union): first, a £1,000 Entrance Bursary to those who achieve excellence at A-level or the equivalent; and second, Merit Scholarships to those who achieve outstanding academic performance whilst studying on the LLB programme at Cardiff. Terms and conditions for the awards are detailed below.
Eligibility: A £1,000 Entrance Bursary will be awarded to all students (EU not included) who enrol in the first year of the M100 LLB programme as full fee-paying students of international fee status, having achieved AAA at A-level or the local equivalent. Students whose fees are paid by a sponsor are not eligible for this bursary. The Merit Scholarships are available to first and second year undergraduate students who are enrolled on the M100 LLB programme as full fee-paying students of international fee status. Students whose fees are paid by a sponsor are not eligible for a scholarship.
