2011- Indonesian Arts and Culture Scholarship Programme, Indonesia

The Indonesian Arts and Culture Scholarship has been conducted since 2003 and was initially offered to and participated by member countries of the South West Pacific Dialogue (SwPD); Australia, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, the Philippines, Timor-Leste, and the host Indonesia.

Bearing in mind the significance and advantages obtained from the program, the offer was expanded over the years to include member countries of ASEAN, ASEAN+3, and PIF, as well as India and South Africa. In 2008, Indonesia welcomed the participation of Azerbaijan, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, and the United States. Since 2009, Austria has joined the program and in 2010 the Government of Indonesia has given the opportunity for participants from France, Germany, Italy, Russia, Spain and Suriname. This year, Indonesia will invite participant from Hungary, Poland, the Czech Republic and Turkey to join the program.
The scholarship covers:
1.Tuition fee (including extra-curricular activities);
2.A round trip economy class ticket;
3.Accommodation (board and lodging);
4.Health insurance;
5.Monthly allowance of Rp. 1.500.000,

2011-2012 Arts and Cultures Scholarship, Newcastle University, UK

Newcastle University School of Arts and Cultures,Newcastle University is delighted to announce 5 new East Asian Arts and Cultures scholarship awards. These are available for international students from East Asian countries (China, Japan, Korea, Taiwan, and Hong Kong) starting their Postgraduate studies in September 2011 in the School of Arts and Cultures  Each scholarship will have a value of £2,600 per year, payable towards tuition.
Eligibility: You could be eligible to apply for these awards if: you have been made a Conditional or Unconditional offer for a place on a Postgraduate degree programme offered by the School of Arts and Cultures. You have been assessed as international/overseas for fees purposes. You intend to register to start your studies during the 2011-12 academic years. Applications for these awards cannot be made for a course that has already been started by a student.

2011-2012 Newcastle University Kazakhstan Scholarships, UK: Humanities Arts and Social Sciences (HASS), Science, Agriculture and Engineering (SAgE), and Medical Sciences

The International Office is delighted to announce 2 Newcastle University Kazakhstan Scholarship (NU Kazakhstan Scholarship) awards. These are available for high achieving Kazakh students applying for entry onto postgraduate taught degree or research programmes within the Faculties of Humanities Arts and Social Sciences (HASS), Science, Agriculture and Engineering (SAgE), and Medical Sciences (FMS) commencing their studies in September 2011.  Each scholarship will have a value of £2,500, payable towards the first year of tuition fees.
Eligibility: You could be eligible to apply for a NU Kazakhstan Scholarship if: have been offered a place on any postgraduate degree programme in the faculties of HASS,  SAgE or FMS.You are a Kazakh national and have been assessed as international/overseas for fees purposes.You have a “Red Diploma” degree, Backlavr or Specialist Diploma, from a recognised Kazakh University and satisfy all other requirements. You intend to register to start your studies during the 2011-12 academic years. You are a self-funded student and not in receipt of other University or external awards
