Teaching Fellowship in Human Anatomy at Bristol University, UK

Based within the Centre for Comparative and Clinical Anatomy, you will have particular responsibilities for the teaching of Topographical Anatomy to medical and dental students. You will undertake a substantial amount of dissecting room teaching, and contribute to the design and administration of courses. You will also act as the day-to-day lead for our team of Medical Demonstrators. You should, ideally, have experience in teaching topographical clinical anatomy, and a medical or dental qualification is essential. The Centre has excellent teaching facilities, including a recently completed Clinical Anatomy Suite. Please note that this post is fixed-term for 14 months in the first instance. Interviews will be held during the week commencing 18 April 2011.

Funding Research Scholarships in Economic and Social Sciences at Bristol University, UK

The Universities of Bristol, Exeter and Bath have come together to form one of the UK’s largest Centres of postgraduate research training for social scientists in fields ranging from economics and human geography to quantitative methodology and psychology.

Together, the three Universities educate over 5000 masters and 1600 doctoral students in the social sciences. The new Centre will draw on the established research excellence of the partners, including the expertise of more than 750 social science research staff. This represents one of the largest groupings of social scientists in the UK.

The Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) has granted doctoral training center status to the collaboration. The South West Doctoral Training Center (SWDTC) has been accredited to offer a hub of world-class social sciences research. As one of only 21 Centers in the UK, the SWDTC will be part of a national network to be launched in October 2011 that will train a new generation of social scientists.  The SWDTC has been allocated 41 studentships per Annam.
