2011 Postdoctoral Position in Materials Physics, KTH School of Information and Communication Technology, Sweden

KTH is the largest technical university in Sweden. Education and research cover a broad spectrum within natural sciences and engineering, as well as architecture, industrial engineering and management, urban planning, work science and environmental engineering. KTH has 13 344 full-time equivalent students, of whom 6 955 are at Bachelor (first) level, while 5 545 are at Master (second) level. In addition, 1 314 are full-time equivalent students at doctoral studies (third) level and 3 900 employees.

For the position, the successful candidate should have a PhD in Physics or Materials Science with a strong background in physics, materials science, nanotechnology or chemistry. English proficiency and good experimental skills are a must. In addition to the academic merits, international experience is regarded as advantageous qualifications.Time limited, 1 year with a possible extension to two yearsStarting date: According to agreement.The salary follows the directions provided by KTH.

2011 PhD Positions of Excellence in Architecture, KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Sweden

KTH is the largest technical university in Sweden. Education and research cover a broad spectrum within natural sciences and engineering, as well as architecture, industrial engineering and management, urban planning, work science and environmental engineering. The department of Architecture educates architects and teaches undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Architecture. There are five research groupings: Architectural Design, History and Theory of architecture, Architectural Technology, Critical Studies of Architecture, and Urban Design. The doctoral studentships offered will be connected to the planned National School of Research in Architecture from spring 2012.

2011-2012 Nigeria Scholarships at Newcastle University, UK: Humanities Arts and Social Sciences (HASS), Science, Agriculture and Engineering (SAgE), and Medical Sciences

The International Office is delighted to announce 2 Newcastle University Nigeria Scholarship (NU Nigeria Scholarship) awards. These are available for high achieving Nigerian students applying for entry onto postgraduate taught degree or research programmes within the Faculties of Humanities Arts and Social Sciences (HASS), Science, Agriculture and Engineering (SAgE), and Medical Sciences (FMS) commencing their studies in September 2011.  Each scholarship will have a value of £3,000, payable towards the first year of tuition fees.
Eligibility: You could be eligible to apply for a NU Nigeria Scholarship if: You have been offered a place on any postgraduate degree programme in the faculties of HASS,  SAgE or FMS.You are a Nigerian national and have been assessed as international/overseas for fees purposes. You have an First Class Bachelors degree from a recognised Nigerian University and satisfy all other requirements.You intend to register to start your studies during the 2011-12 academic yearYou are a self-funded student and not in receipt of other University or external awards
