ISOPE Scholarship for Outstanding International Students: Offshore Mechanics, Ocean, Arctic, and Related Engineering fields

The International Society of Offshore and Polar Engineers (ISOPE) encourages students to study and/or to conduct research in any of Offshore Mechanics, Ocean, Arctic, and Related Engineering fields, or to participate in the annual ISOPE Conferences. For this purpose, ISOPE grants scholarships of $1,000 each to outstanding graduate students and entering new graduate students for the academic year 2011?2012. Three to five scholarships were granted each year. The recipients are encouraged to join the ISOPE student
membership.
Each scholarship offered is a competitive one. Sex, race, age, religion, nationality, etc. are not factors for consideration. The awardees are selected by the ISOPE Award Committee vote. The committee members are balanced in geopolitical distribution. No more than one scholarship shall be awarded in the same year to the applicants from one university.

2011 International Undergraduate Scholarships at Humber College, Canada

Humber offers three full tuition renewable scholarships (Approximate value $12,200 CAD). These scholarships are available for NEW international students only (two offered in September and one offered in January of each year). Applications will be considered based on academics, community involvement, referee/reference letters and statement of interest. Renewal of the scholarship will be based on the student’s ability to maintain a 70% GPA in each year of his/her program at Humber. An application form will be included with your acceptance package. The scholarships will be applied toward the successful students’ application fees. Humber offers three $5,000 CAD renewable scholarships each year. These scholarships are available for NEW international students only (two offered in September and one offered in January of each year). International Postgraduate Research Scholarships,University of Adelaide, Australia: Agriculture, Environment,Mineral and Energy Resources, Social Innovation,Health and Biomedical Sciences

The International Postgraduate Research Scholarship (IPRS) scheme is funded by the Commonwealth Government through the Department of Education, Employment & Workplace Relations (DEEWR). Its purpose is to attract high quality overseas postgraduate students to areas of research strength in higher education institutions to support Australia’s research effort. Approximately 15 scholarships may be available in 2012 for international students from any country undertaking postgraduate research in areas of University research strengths.
1.Course tuition fees for two years for a Masters degree by Research and three years for a Doctoral research degree (an extension is possible for doctoral programs only); and
2.Health insurance cover for students.
3.All successful IPRS applicants will also receive an Adelaide Scholarships International (ASI) place which provides an annual living allowance of approximately $22,860 (2011 value) for the normal duration of the program.
Applicants should hold at least the equivalent of an Australian First Class Honours degree. This is a four year degree with a major research project in the final year. Other criteria that will be taken into consideration is undergraduate performance, bachelor and honours awards and scholarships, other postgraduate degrees, publications in refereed journals, the presentation of conference papers and relevant industry experience.
Applications for these scholarships are always highly competitive. Generally IPRS recipients have completed a Masters degree including a significant research component and have several publications and relevant work and research experience.
