LeRoy Nosbaum Engineering Scholarship Program, USA

Itron, Inc. has established a scholarship program to assist future engineers who plan to continue their education in college and accept a paid internship with the company. Renewable scholarships are offered each year for full-time study at one of a number of selected institutions in the United States. This scholarship program is administered by Scholarship Management Services®, a division of Scholarship America®. Scholarship Management Services is the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarship and tuition reimbursement programs for corporations, foundations, associations and individuals. Awards are granted without regard to race, color, creed, religion, sexual orientation, age, gender, disability or national origin.

Eligibility
Applicants must meet all of the following criteria:
– Students must be classified as third or fourth year students for the 2011-2012 academic year.
– Be pursuing a degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering or computer software engineering.
-Be enrolled in full-time undergraduate study at one of the following universities for the entire 2011-2012 academic year:
o Clemson University
o Eastern Washington University, Cheney
o Minnesota State University, Mankato
o North Carolina Agriculture & Technology State University
o North Carolina State University
o University of California, Berkeley
o Washington State University, Pullman
-Accept a paid internship at an Itron, Inc. research and development location. (Students who do not accept or do not complete the internship with Itron, Inc. will immediately forfeit their LeRoy Nosbaum Engineering Scholarship.)

2011 International Undergraduate Scholarships at Humber College, Canada

Humber offers three full tuition renewable scholarships (Approximate value $12,200 CAD). These scholarships are available for NEW international students only (two offered in September and one offered in January of each year). Applications will be considered based on academics, community involvement, referee/reference letters and statement of interest. Renewal of the scholarship will be based on the student’s ability to maintain a 70% GPA in each year of his/her program at Humber. An application form will be included with your acceptance package. The scholarships will be applied toward the successful students’ application fees. Humber offers three $5,000 CAD renewable scholarships each year. These scholarships are available for NEW international students only (two offered in September and one offered in January of each year). Academic Achievement Leadership Award 2011, USA

The Academic Achievement Leadership Award Program will provide renewable scholarships of up to $22,000 to entering freshmen for the 2011-2012 academic year. The primary purpose of the scholarship program is to attract highly qualified students who demonstrate the potential for leadership and intellectual development and are committed to becoming engaged citizens of the university and the broader community. Scholarship funds will be disbursed on a semester basis and are renewable annually for three additional years provided the student maintains the conditions of the award.
