LeRoy Nosbaum Engineering Scholarship Program, USA

Itron, Inc. has established a scholarship program to assist future engineers who plan to continue their education in college and accept a paid internship with the company. Renewable scholarships are offered each year for full-time study at one of a number of selected institutions in the United States. This scholarship program is administered by Scholarship Management Services®, a division of Scholarship America®. Scholarship Management Services is the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarship and tuition reimbursement programs for corporations, foundations, associations and individuals. Awards are granted without regard to race, color, creed, religion, sexual orientation, age, gender, disability or national origin.

Eligibility
Applicants must meet all of the following criteria:
– Students must be classified as third or fourth year students for the 2011-2012 academic year.
– Be pursuing a degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering or computer software engineering.
-Be enrolled in full-time undergraduate study at one of the following universities for the entire 2011-2012 academic year:
o Clemson University
o Eastern Washington University, Cheney
o Minnesota State University, Mankato
o North Carolina Agriculture & Technology State University
o North Carolina State University
o University of California, Berkeley
o Washington State University, Pullman
-Accept a paid internship at an Itron, Inc. research and development location. (Students who do not accept or do not complete the internship with Itron, Inc. will immediately forfeit their LeRoy Nosbaum Engineering Scholarship.)

Further Scholarship Information and Application

Master’s Entry Program in Nursing (MEPN), University of California, San Francesco

Eligible students may receive scholarship funding plus limited low interest loans. They can also receive a maximum Federal Direct (Stafford) Loan of $20,500, which may include the maximum $8,500 subsidized component. ,To apply for financial aid, follow the steps for “Self-Supporting Programs” here. Given the high cost of fees, MEPN students often need more assistance than is available from University and Direct (Stafford) fund sources, but can apply for a Graduate PLUS Loan. A co-borrower may be required for a this loan if students fails to meet the lender’s credit standards.
