KTH is the largest technical university in Sweden. Education and research cover a broad spectrum within natural sciences and engineering, as well as architecture, industrial engi-neering and management, urban planning, work science and environmental engineering. KTH has 13.344 full-time equivalent students of whom 6.955 at Bachelor (first) level and 5.545 at Master (second) level. In addition 1.314 full-time equivalent students at doctoral studies (third) level and 3.900 employees.CSC is one of Sweden’s most advanced and successful research and education.
Applicants should have a PhD related to any of the specific fields mentioned or in general computer science where Machine Learning forms a substantial component. Good pro-gramming skills and experience with large sets of data is also a requirement.

7 PhD Student Fellowships for Research Topics in Various Fields in Natural and Life Sciences, JSMC, Germany

The Jena School for Microbial Communication (JSMC) is funded by the German Excellence Initiative. It conceptionally unites different research areas (microbial communities, interactions with plant, animal and human hosts, and environmental interactions) into a comprehensive picture of microbial communication (www.jsmc.uni-jena.de). JSMC is an ambitious Graduate School with over 150 PhD students who are educated in a structured, interdisciplinary training program based on top-level fundamental research. Five faculties of Friedrich Schiller University Jena, six non-university research institutes as well as 13 partner companies are participating in this cutting-edge research and training program that includes an innovative PhD program, career development, and intensive sociocultural care. Three existing Research Training Groups and 12 other cooperative research projects collaborate in integrating novel research areas to achieve a complete view of microbial communication.

• a Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Natural Sciences (e.g., Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Biomedical Sciences, Earth Sciences, Bioinformatics, Biotechnology, etc.). Candidates about to obtain their degree are welcome to apply.

Postdoctoral Position in Numerical Simulation of Turbulent Wall-Bounded Flows, KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Sweden

The largest technical university in Sweden. Education and research cover a broad spectrum within natural sciences and engineering, as well as architecture, industrial engineering and management, urban planning, work science and environmental engineering.Applicants should have a PhD degree or soon receive one in a relevant scientific field. We are in particularly looking for candidates with a strong background in direct or large-eddy simulations of turbulent flows with experience/interest in large scale numerical simulations and data processing. Experience in MPI programming and running on parallel computers is advantageous.
