Kevin Kaplan Foundation Scholarships by Hinsdale South High School, Chicago

The scholarship is intended to help make it possible for students of modest means to attend colleges appropriate to their academic and personal interests.  Scholarship awards vary from $1,000 to $5,000 and are based on the applicant’s financial need and community service.  Applications for a Kevin Kaplan Foundation scholarship are open to individuals who are:
Permanent Residents Of The Metropolitan Chicago Area; And
Students Enrolled In High School That Will Be Completing Secondary School And Entering College.

University of Cambridge, Scholarships in Small Animal Surgery 2011,UK

SCHOLARSHIP AWARD £ 20,970 Year oneThese Scholarships provide an outstanding opportunity to study for a postgraduate qualification. One Scholarship is available from 1 April 2011 and one from 1 July 2011. The Scholars will be trained in all aspects of small animal surgery, including soft tissue and orthopaedics. The training programme is approved by the European College of Veterinary Surgery, and the Department is an Approved Centre for the RCVS Diploma in Small Animal Surgery (orthopaedics).

The Scholarships are for one year in the first instance, renewable for periods of one year up to a total of three years. They are subject to an initial monitoring period of six months, and to review on an annual basis.

The Scholars will be required to register for a Certificate and/or Diploma in the appropriate field. The training programme requires participation in the Department’s clinical service, including the out-of-hours rota, in addition to small-group teaching of veterinary students.

Applicants must be a Member of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons, or hold a veterinary degree qualifying them for membership. Completion of an ECVS recognised internship or a minimum of two years’ experience in small animal practice is essential.

Faculty of Law- CUHK Master of Laws Scholarship Scheme 2011

Each year, the Faculty of Law (the “Faculty”) at CUHK will seek to assist students from around the world to join the Faculty’s Master of Laws programmes through the award of scholarships. Different countries/areas are supported on a rotational basis. For the academic year 2011-2012, two scholarships will be offered to non-local applicants from the following areas:

– Europe
– India
– North America (US and Canada)

Successful candidates will be awarded a scholarship worth HK$176,000, covering the basic tuition fee of HK$96,000 and a maintenance stipend of HK$80,000.
