Delta / NTIO Joint Environmental Scholarship at University of Twente, Netherlands

To be eligible for the scholarship, candidates should hold strong credentials of:
·high devotion to the environmental protection and sustainable development of the earth
·Taiwan citizenship and regularly residing in Taiwan.
·an undergraduate degree received before the scholarship year from a Taiwanese academic institution accredited by the Ministry of Education of R.O.C.
· not currently working or studying in the Netherlands (not necessary for Doctoral applicants).
·proof of adequate English proficiency (a minimum test score of 213 in the computer-based TOEFL or 5.5 in IELTS).
Preference will be given to applicants with working experience in the environmental protection and sustainable development related fields.A scholarship of NT$250,000 each is offered to Master’s students and NT$500,000 for Doctoral students annually.Delta Electronics Foundation established the Delta/NTIO Joint Environmental Scholarship in 2005 to support and encourage advanced academic studies in fields relevant to environmental protection and sustainable development.

University of Twente Scholarship for International Students, Netherlands

The UT Scholarship is awarded by the Foundation University of Twente Scholarship Programme of the University of Twente. The UT Scholarship is meant for international students who show excellence, both academically as well as socially. The UT Scholarship is awarded for one year of study and is extended for a second year if study results are sufficient. Please note that you can only be nominated for the UT Scholarship after you have been (provisionally) accepted by the educational programme of your choice. The amount of the scholarship will be determined by the faculty with a maximum of €20,000. Please be aware that only a limited number of scholarships are available. Only the most excellent students will be nominated. After being admitted to the University, the faculty may decide to nominate you for the scholarship. In that case the faculty will contact you to confirm your interest in the scholarship..

Scholarship Application Deadline: You cannot apply for the UT Scholarship yourself. You can only be nominated by the faculty of the university for a UT Scholarship between October 2010 and May 2011.

2011 Professor De Winter Scholarship at University of Twente, Netherlands

Applicants:

  • must be female
  • must be an excellent student
  • must be prepared to contact Mrs. De Winter to inform her about their study progress
  • must have completed the online application through the graduate website
  • must be admitted and nominated by the faculty involved
  • must be a future leader (of industry)
  • must be strongly committed to social society.
  • This scholarship for the academic year 2011/2012 is provided by Mrs. De Winter, the widow of Prof. ir. Herman de Winter. Professor De Winter was one of the founders of the research and education department of the former Technical College Twente. In 1969 he became the first career counselor of Technical Physics. Before that, he had already been appointed as professor in Technical Physics at the department of Electrical Engineering.
    Professor De Winter was always engaged with Technical Physics. Together with his wife, he was always interested in how ‘his’ students were doing. Professor De Winter died 7 October 2005. Mrs. De Winter is still very engaged with the University of Twente and expresses this by donating an annual €10.000 of which €7.500 is meant for awarding a scholarship.
    After being admitted to the University, the faculty may decide to nominate you for the scholarship. In that case the faculty will contact you to confirm your interest in the scholarship.
