The Section for Functional Genomics, University of Copenhagen is recruiting one PhD student for a 3 year project to work on DNA repair factories and genome integrity in the research group of Michael Lisby. The Functional Genomics section employs around 45 researchers, and has much international collaboration with high-profile groups. The group is housed in the newly built Biocenter in central Copenhagen, DenmarK.

The shortlisted candidates will be invited for an interview which will be held in Brussels in may 2011. Full details about the interview procedure will be send to the invited candidates. Travel expenses are reimbursed and free accommodation is provided.
Admission:
Offers of admission will be made to the successful candidates shortly after the interview process.
Start:
PhD students must start their research in Autumn 2011.
Language:
The program language is English.

MIRA – Institute of Biomedical Technology and Technical Medicine at the University of Twente, The Netherlands has an opening for a PhD student and Post-doctoral fellow within the research area of Medical Robotics.
The successful applicant has completed a Master’s or Doctoral degree in mechanical, biomedical, or electrical engineering, or in a closely related discipline. He or she should possess excellent skills and practical experience in one or more of the following research areas: robotics (design, dynamics, and control), finite element modeling (soft tissue mechanics and fluid-structure interactions), and image processing. Experience at the intersection of one or more of these areas is desirable. An interview will be part of the selection procedure.
