In continuation of its efforts to provide opportunities for developing careers in the petroleum industry, Esso Exploration and  Production Nigeria Limited  (EEPNL) is offering International Scholarships to outstanding Nigerian graduates wishing  to pursue International post-graduate studies in the under listed disciplines.

 

Geosciences:

Engineering (Petroleum, Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, Electronics, Civil/Structural, Marine and Sub sea).

 

Eligibility

1.         Must be a graduate from a Nigerian University

2.         Must possess a Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of second class upper division in any of the listed Engineering and Geosciences disciplines.

3.         Must have provisional admission to undertaken full-time postgraduate study at a reputable University (M.sc or M.Eng) in the 2011/2012 academic session.

 

The EEPNL scholarship award applies to tuition, books, accommodation and living

expenses for the duration of the  selected course of study.

SRF Positions in the Department of Veterinary Gynaecology & Obstetrics at GADVASU, India: Reproductive Biology, Ecology and Management of Birds and Mammals

Applications are invited on the prescribed form for one position of Senior Research Fellow at fixed salary of Rs. 16,000/- P.M. (fixed) + HRA for post graduate in subject other than veterinary science and Rs. 18,000/- P.M. (Hons.) with minimum OGPA/OCPA of 3/40/4.00 basis or 6.5/10 basis or 65%. 3. For candidates holding Ph.D degree in Zoology/Vety. Physiology/ Animal Reproduction /Gynaecology & Obstetrics with minimum OGPA/OCPA should be 3.4/4.00 basis or 6.5/10/ 65% marks. 4. Knowledge of Punjabi upto Matric level.

PhD Student Position in Physics Directed Towards Experimental Activity, Sweden

The department of Physics is located in the Albanova University center and has approximately 170 employees, 250 students at undergraduate level and 80 graduate students. There are four research subjects within the postgraduate program: Physics, Theoretical Physics, Chemical Physics and Medical Radiation Physics. Requirements
To be accepted as a Ph.D. student in Physics one should have studied at least four years at a University and have a B.Sc. in Physics. These studies must include advanced courses in physics during one year and an advanced degree project (a detailed description of one in progress may do). For a position in Chemical physics the requirement on physics courses may partly or fully be fulfilled with courses in chemistry. We seek a candidate with analytical capacity and good skills in English.

Terms of employment
A Ph.D. education is four years (48 months). The 4-year Ph.D. program includes at least 3 years of research and at most one year of course work. The position may be extended up to 1 year if up to 20 % teaching assistance or administration is included in the contract. During the beginning of the Ph.D. education, the student receives a study grant (“utbildningsbidrag”) and towards the end of the education, the student acquires a Ph.D. position (“doktorandanställning”).
