Terence Grier Entrance Scholarship in Ryerson University 2011 in Canada

The Terence Grier Entrance Scholarship honours the achievements of Ryerson’s President, from 1988-1995, in particular his leadership through a period of profound change at Ryerson, culminating in the acquisition of
university status at the institution.The scholarship is valued at full tuition and is not renewable.Eligibility
. Must be a current full-time (2010-11) secondary school student in Canada.
. Must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident.
. Must have achieved high school matriculation.
. Must be pursuing post-secondary studies for the first time.
. Must be seeking admission into first year undergraduate study in a full-time degree program at Ryerson University.. .Minimum average of 85% in 6 Ontario Grade 12 U/M or equivalent credits from a high school within Canada.
. Successful demonstration of exceptional aptitude for or interest in the chosen field of study at Ryerson (e.g., a journalism applicant who has already achieved an outstanding record on a high school newspaper; a theatre applicant who has already starred in school or amateur productions; a business applicant who has already demonstrated entrepreneurial skills; and other comparable achievements in whatever field of study the applicant may choose to follow).

Applications are invited from outstanding individuals for the SU2P Entrepreneurial Fellowships 2011. SU2P is a collaboration between the Scottish Universities (Glasgow, Heriot Watt, St. Andrews and Strathclyde) and Stanford and Caltech in California.The Fellowships are to enable exceptionally talented early career researchers to spend one year at Stanford University or one of its affiliated laboratories. The aim of the Fellowships is to allow successful applicants to develop and grow their entrepreneurial skills under mentoring provided by Stanford Photonics Research Centre (SPRC).
