Through the Fellowship Program, you will develop relationships with lawmakers and community leaders, earn media coverage for important environmental issues, raise funds, build a membership, recruit and manage staff and volunteers, and run grassroots campaigns to promote clean energy, clean up our air and water, and preserve some of our nation’s most beloved spaces. Bottom line: You’ll make a real difference. After just two years of hard work, you’ll have the skills and experience that will set you apart from most recent college graduates, and you’ll be prepared to take on even more leadership here at Environment America or elsewhere in the environmental community.

We’re looking for people who have just finished or are about to finish their Bachelor’s (undergraduate) degree. And while we’re happy to consider applications from candidates in other countries.we do not sponsor visas.

Fellowship candidates are hired nationwide and placed in Environment America offices across the country. During the interview process you can express your interest in one location, some locations, or all of our locations. In making placement decisions we will consider how best to match your location preference, experience, strengths and abilities with the campaigns we’re running and the experienced staff in a particular office, city or state.

Salary and benefits

As a recent graduate, you’ll earn $23,750 in your first year and $24,250 in your second year of the Fellowship. You’re eligible to opt into our group health plan. You accrue two weeks of paid vacation over the course of your first year, and an additional three weeks in your second year. You’re eligible to apply for college loan assistance after your third month, and to participate in our 401 (k) plan at the end of your first year. Salary and benefits vary in California and New York.

JRF Positions in Chemistry at Indian Institute of Petroleum, India

Director, Indian Institute of Petroleum invites interested and eligible Indian nationals for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF), who have been declared qualified as NET-JRF (Chemistry) or NET-LS (Chemistry) jointly conducted by UGCCSIR and interested to work with Emeritus Scientist in the project “ Studies on Chemical Recycling of Waste Plastics to Produce Waxes, Olefin & Lobs”. The terms and conditions of appointment as JRF will be governed by Emeritus Scientist Scheme of CSIR. The tenure of the selected candidate is co-terminus with the project for NETLS category candidate. The project is for three years which may be extended for another two years. The fellowship will be paid as applicable in CSIR under the scheme. The upper age limit is 28 years as on 21/02/2011. The upper age limit is
relaxable upto 5 years in the case of candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC/Woman/PWD. Candidate must have passed M.Sc (Chemistry) with minimum 55% marks. Candidate should bring the duly filled in application form supported by one set of attested copies of certificates of educational qualification, age, category (in case of SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates), one latest passport size photograph etc. Original certificates are required for verification, which would be returned immediately on the same day after verification. Candidates have option to reply in Hindi in interview. No travelling allowance is admissible for attending interview.

Academic Fellowship Program Mobility Fund 2011 in Budapest

The Academic Fellowship Program (AFP) Mobility Fund is designed to support visits between AFP partner departments or former AFP Resource Departments.  Faculty members may use the mobility grant to consult with colleagues on issues of curriculum, teaching or research, such as developing a new course or revising an existing one.  Goals of the visit should be well-defined, based on concrete outcomes, and align with the departmental development strategy.Recipients of the grant are encouraged to give a guest lecture or lead a discussion in their area of expertise while visiting the host university.

Application materials may be submitted any time until . but must be received at least two months prior to the proposed visit.  The application and budget forms are available for download below.  Proposals are evaluated on a rolling basis, and results are announced within 45 days of receipt of project proposal. Funding is limited, so partner departments are encouraged to apply as early as possible in the academic year to ensure availability.All faculty members (not only AFP Returning Fellows) at AFP partner departments are eligible to apply.An AFP partner department may qualify for up to three mobility grants per academic year, one of which must be awarded to an AFP Returning Fellow, and one of which should support a team visit.
