2011 Oscar W. Rittenhouse Memorial Scholarship, USA

The County Prosecutors Association of New Jersey Foundation is a non-profit corporation created by the country Prosecutors Association for the purpose of awarding scholarships. The foundation is administered by a Board of trustees comprised of Officers of the County Prosecutors Association of New Jersey.
Each scholarship is a one year grant in the amount of $2,500.00 paid directly to the recipient. Persons may reapply for succeeding years. To be eligible, an applicant must be a New Jersey resident accepted for admission to a law school. The applicant must have an interest in pursuing a career as a prosecutor.The applicant must also demonstrate financial need.

Helyn B. Reich Scholarship for University Students in Israel

Each year, the American Zionist Movement (AZM) grants Helyn B. Reich Scholarships to a limited number of American students who have been accepted and will attend one of several designated Israeli universities for a year or semester (preference given to full-year students). The Helyn B. Reich Memorial Scholarship seeks to honor candidates who demonstrate past pro-Israel activity and a commitment to future involvement with Israel and the Jewish community. Financial need will also be considered, though more emphasis will be placed on merit. Recipients of the Helyn B. Reich Scholarship will be expected to remain involved with the American Zionist Movement following their return to the United States. The scholarship is named in memory of the wife of a past AZM president whose daughter studied at Tel Aviv University and now lives in Israel.

Reich scholarships are awarded each fall and spring to a limited number of American students who choose to study at one of several designated Israeli universities or attend post-college long-term programs. The scholarship seeks to recognize candidates who have demonstrated academic excellence, pro-Israel activity in their personal lives and show a commitment to future involvement with the Jewish and Zionist community. Preference is given to candidates who decide to spend the full year in Israel.

The Kit Faragher Memorial Scholarship for High School Students, USA

The Kit Faragher Memorial Scholarship was established by the Janus Foundation in 2002 to honor the memory of their valued employee, Kathleen “Kit” Faragher who lost her life in the tragic events of September 11, 2001. The Kit Faragher Foundation was created in 2003 to honor her memory and has continued to award this annual scholarship.
This scholarship supports Colorado high school students who have earned a high school GPA of 2.5, are in need of financial assistance for college, university, or technical school, and who capture Kit’s essence by demonstrating a positive attitude, strong commitment, and a drive towards accomplishment. Scholarship money may be used for tuition, books, lab fees, or other costs directly related to the degree program. The scholarship recipient will receive an award of $2,500 for two years, for a total of $5,000. The scholarship payments will be made directly to the school on the student’s behalf at the start of each semester/quarter for the first two years. In order to maintain the scholarship, the recipient must maintain a minimum 2.5 GPA throughout the first two years of the educational program.
