Postdoctoral Research Fellowship on “The EU as a Global Discursive Actor”, Belgium

Attached to the Vice-President of the Institut d’Etudes Européennes (IEE), the hired researcher will sekk to contribute to the research capacities of the EUNRAGG research unit specifically within the context of the EU FP7 funded project “Europe Facing a Rising Multipolar World” entitled ‘Global Re-ordering: Evolution through European Networks’ (GR:EEN)

The withheld researcher will be fully committed to the GR:EEN program and will share in the following responsibilities:
-Drafting work to publishable standard
– Organize a series of international scientific workshops
-Assist in the development and promotion of PhD programmes
-Help facilitate international linkages and partnerships in particular
-Support a minimum of one Case-study Integrated Forum (CSIF) – a research and dissemination platform aimed at confronting the research and policy-making communities

Applications Are Invited For A One Year Postdoctoral Research Fellowship At The University Of Southampton, Within The Southampton Statistical Sciences Research Institute This Fellowship Is Part Of The Multi-Disciplinary Research Project “Quantification And Reduction Of Uncertainty For Dispersion Models Via Meteorological Predictions Through Computer Experiments”, Which Is A Collaboration Between The University Of Southampton, Dstl And The Met Office. You Will Have A Phd In Statistics, Or Equivalent Research Experience. A Background In The Design And Analysis Of Experiments, Statistical Modelling Or Computer Experiments Is Desirable. The Main Role Of The Fellow Will Be To Conduct High-Level Statistics Research Into The Design And Analysis Of Computer Experiments.The Post Will Commence On Monday 4 April 2011, Or As Soon As Possible Thereafter.

Chapin Hall seeks candidates for the Harold A. Richman postdoctoral research fellowship aimed at strengthening the intellectual and research qualifications of outstanding scholars interested in applied research careers focusing on child, youth, and family well-being. The postdoctoral program will provide new scholars with advanced research training through participation on Chapin Hall research projects; time and resources to explore and develop independent research ideas; and mentoring by nationally recognized researchers in the field, both at Chapin Hall and the University of Chicago. The selected individual will have the opportunity to be involved with research design, development of data collection instruments and their implementation, data analyses and write-up of study results. This is an in-residence, two-year term program. Applications must be received by January 31, 2011. Notice will be given to the successful applicant in March-April 2011. The Fellow must be able to begin the position between July 1 and September 2011.

The Fellow will receive $52,000 per calendar year and an opportunity to participate in the University of Chicago’s benefit program. Moving expenses are the responsibility of the individual. The individual may not hold any other paying positions or appointments during the period they are participating in the Chapin Hall Postdoctoral Fellowship programme.
