2011-2012 Santander Postgraduate Scholarships for Taught Masters (Mlitt) Programmes at St Andrews University, UK

The School of Modern Languages of the University of St Andrews is pleased to announce its programme of three one-year scholarships, each worth £5,000, to be awarded to suitably qualified candidates from the countries listed below for the academic year 2011-2012. The primary purpose of these scholarships is to enable students to complete a oneyear taught MLitt programme. While priority may be given to students applying to the MLitt programme in Spanish and Latin American Studies, those interested in any other taught MLitt programme offered by the School of Modern Languages will be given due consideration and are also encouraged to apply. All MLitt programmes involve two consecutive semesters of taught modules plus a period of research (from the beginning of June to the end of August) devoted to writing a 15,000-word dissertation under the supervision of a full-time academic member of staff. Decisions will be Made and communicated to candidates by 15 June. To be considered for an award, candidates must have been accepted to undertake one of the MLitt programmes offered by the School of Modern Languages, beginning in September 2011. They must be nationals of (or permanently domiciled in) Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Mexico, Paraguay, Peru, Puerto Rico, Uruguay, Venezuela or Spain. Newcastle University India Scholarships, UK

The International Office is delighted to announce 3 Newcastle University Indian Scholarship (NUIS PG) awards. These are available for high achieving Indian students applying for entry onto postgraduate taught degree programmes within the Faculties of Science, Agriculture and Engineering (SAgE), and Medical Sciences (FMS) commencing their studies in September 2011.  Each scholarship will have a value of £4,000, payable towards the first year of tuition fees.
Eligibility: You could be eligible to apply for a NUIS PG award if:  you have been offered a place on any postgraduate taught degree programme in the faculties of SAgE or FMS    you are an Indian national and have been assessed as international/overseas for fees purposes. You have an average of 70% or more in Bachelors degree and satisfy all other requirements.  You intend to register to start your studies during the 2011-12 academic years.

Humanities Postgraduate Alumni Scholarship at University of Exeter, UK

University of Exeter undergraduate alumni wishing to study for a Masters degree within the College of Humanities can benefit from a £1,000 scholarship towards tuition fees. In order to be eligible for the award, in addition to any other programme entry requirements, you must obtain a minimum of 2.1 undergraduate degree.The award is open to anyone who completed their undergraduate degree at the University of Exeter, regardless of department, in the last 4 years, or is due to complete their degree this academic year.

There is no separate application process for this award, but we do encourage you to apply by 31 August as there may be some delay in processing awards for students who accept their place after this date. Please note you cannot hold two scholarships concurrently, so if you are in receipt of another scholarship when you register on the programme, you will not receive this award.
