ZESPRI Horticulture Scholarships at University of Canterbury, New Zealand

The ZESPRI Horticulture Scholarship Programme aims to encourage secondary school leavers to pursue a tertiary qualification and career in horticulture. Each year, we offer several, one-year, scholarships, valued at $3,000 each, to high calibre secondary school students from the main kiwifruit growing regions who intend to study full-time in a horticulture-related field at a New Zealand tertiary institute.
Eligibility:The scholarships are open to candidates who are intending to enroll for full-time study towards a degree or diploma in horticulture or a related field at a New Zealand university or polytechnic.
Students who have already begun a course in horticulture at a polytechnic or university are not eligible to apply.
The scholarships will be awarded to secondary school applicants from the kiwifruit growing regions of Northland, Auckland, Coromandel, Waikato, Bay of Plenty, Poverty Bay, Hawkes Bay, Lower North Island, South Island.

Dennis William Moore Scholarship at University of Canterbury, New Zealand

The Dennis William Moore Scholarship was established in 1999 as a result of a capital donation to the University of Canterbury from the Estate of Dennis William
Eligibility:For a thesis student in Astronomy who has been or will be undertaking observational work at Mt John as part of his/her thesis work.

Global Studies Scholarship at University of Canterbury, New Zealand

This scholarship was established in 2009 by Dr Kennedy Graham, MP; Senior Adjunct Fellow, School of Law, University of Canterbury.For the student who is judged to have submitted the best essay in an annual essay competition.Applicants for the scholarship must be students enrolled in 200 or 300 level courses at the University of Canterbury and must be in their final year of study for a Bachelor’s degree.
The scholarship shall be awarded to assist the recipient complete a Masters or Honours degree in any faculty at the University of Canterbury and shall be paid to the recipient on that student enrolling in such a degre
